Corn Grits, 16 oz.
Grits are small broken grains of corn. They were first produced by Native Americans centuries ago. Try adding grated cheese or really treat yourself with the Southern classic Shrimp and Grits. Their neutral flavor makes grits an excellent and unique base for all kinds of dishes.
To prepare, bring 3 cups water and 1/2 tsp salt to a boil. Add 1 cup corn grits and reduce heat. Cook slowly for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cover and let stand for a couple minutes. This will make enough for four generous helpings.
