Diatomaceous Earth, 8 oz.

Diatomaceous earth is a fine powder made from the fossilized remains of ancient algae. Rich in silica, it is amazingly versatile: it can be used medicinally for many ailments, taken internally for more supple skin, used for various  health and beauty benefits, and to create simple and natural health and beauty treatments, DIY soaps, deodorants, face masks and shampoos. Diatomaceous Earth Face Scrub/Mask:

Mix a spoonful of the powder with a little water, or try mixing it with honey for acne-prone skin, or coconut oil for dry skin (coconut oil can also help heal acne.) Add more powder or liquid as needed until you have a nice creamy consistency. You can mix a little in the palm of your hand for a quick treat, or you could mix a larger amount, adding any essential oils you might like for added benefits. To use as a face wash, gently scrub your skin with the mixture and then rinse. To use as a mask, you might want to make a thicker blend. Smooth over your face and allow  to dry for about 8 minutes, then rinse. 

Household Uses: Try using it as a scrub, to deodorize your refrigerator, or sprinkle a little in the back of food storage areas to repel pests.
